The best way to learn Spanish is to immerse yourself in the language desde el despertar hasta el anochecer, from the moment you wake up until night falls. Now students in Spanish 1001-2002 levels can prepare themselves for travel abroad and get 8 credit hours through the Spanish Summer Institute ¡una experiencia auténtica de inmersión aquí en el campus de North Georgia!

As faculty, Dr. Torres Calderón and his team know that there's no better way to learn a language than vivirlo, to live it!  That's why we've developed North Georgia College's first Spanish Summer Institute in 2010 as an opportunity to participate in Spanish music, food, dance, and culture that will make you feel like you've traveled around the Spanish speaking world. This year we will continue with our wonderful travel, from the moment you wake up and say Buenos días to your compañero de cuarto to the hour that you lay your sleepy head to rest. You will be practicing your Spanish: over meals, playing soccer in the afternoons, in the hallways of the dorm, singing, dancing, and most importantly ¡disfrutando de tu primer instituto de verano en español!
